Our Process

Initial Meeting & Site Visit

Goals: Explore Ideas and Build Understanding

Our owner, Stephen, will come out personally to meet with you. He asks great questions to understand the wants, dreams, and special considerations for your project, and will happily answer any questions you have. Also, he will perform a detailed site assessment and share those findings with you. This meeting is a terrific time for you to get to know our company as well.

Preliminary Proposal

Goals: Define Project Scope and Budget

You’ll see exactly what different landscape elements cost, with detailed descriptions of each feature. Depending on the complexity of your project, your proposal could be delivered immediately following the initial meeting, or 2-3 weeks later if additional planning is required or subcontractors need to be engaged in the process.

Design

Goals: Visualize Your Finished Space and Focus on Details

We combine ideas and vision with design expertise to create detailed plans including 3D renderings and virtual walk-throughs like this one. We want you to be both comfortable and happy with the design (and your future landscape) and this requires conversation and collaboration. For your convenience we frequently do follow-up meetings over Zoom and can make design tweaks in real-time.

Final Proposal

Goals: Realign Scope and Budget

Sometimes the design process brings new elements to the project, or we make changes that require an updated cost estimate (either up or down). We’ll communicate any budget impacts as clearly as possible during the design process. No surprises here!

On-Site Pre-Project Review

Goals: Finalize Project Plans and Expectations

This meeting is as much for our team as it is for you. We’ll discuss any remaining details and set expectations for each phase of your project. We’ll have an internal planning meeting (which you’re welcome to join) with key subcontractors for executing your project. Also, this is when we will collect the down payment to begin your build.

Build

Goal: Create Your Dream Space

Communication is very important during your landscape transformation. Depending on the phase of your project, we may need to speak a few times per day, or a few times per week. We break down the details, so you’ll know right where progress stands and what to expect next. Sometimes we uncover “surprises” during construction and project adjustments may need to happen the fly. But don’t worry, we’ll be your trusted guides through the entire process.
